AmCham-Hyatt Golf Challenge raises DH 162,000 for future corporate citizenship initiatives

More than DH 162,000 was raised for corporate citizenship projects at the AmCham-Hyatt Golf Challenge on June 4th, 24% more than last year.

The tournament saw the participation of teams and individuals from a wide range of AmCham member companies in the idyllic setting of the Anfa-Mohammedia Royal Golf Course.

The good-natured contest pitted teams of experienced golfers and novices against equally eclectic competing selections, and the four hours of play were followed by a buffet dinner and cocktail.

The evening festivities included the distribution of prizes, an auction of paintings conducted brilliantly by Hyatt Regency Director Jean-Pierre Marcadier, and a tombola with prizes ranging from Goodyear tires to holidays abroad.

A number of beautiful canvasses were acquired by participants as they contributed to future AmCham corporate citizenship initiatives, and the tombola demonstrated clearly that those who buy many tickets tend to win many prizes – a point that we hope next year’s participants will take to heart!

The winning team this year was Tube et Profil, followed by Ciments du Maroc, and Kawneer, but every participant came out a winner on this friendly and relaxed occasion. AmCham would like to thank the Hyatt Regency for its sterling collaboration, the Royal Golf Course of Anfa-Mohammedia for offering its facilities as the venue, and all of the numerous sponsors in cash and in kind.
